Gaëtan Masson, 41, leads the Task 1 of the PV program of the International Energy Agency (IEA PVPS), an international group of renewed PV experts from all major PV countries. The Task 1 focuses on studying the evolution of PV markets, support policies, PV industry and R&D&I programs. In addition, Gaetan Masson is the founder and director of the brand new Becquerel Institute that aims to provide economic and technical intelligence to the PV industry and its stakeholders. He has been head of business intelligence of the European PV Industry Association for the last 5 years and continues to provide market and industry advises for this association. He is also a member of the steering committee of the European PV technology platform, and a member of the scientific committee of the EU-PVSEC scientific PV conference. He focuses on market and industry analysis, the drivers of PV development and the rise of competitive business models for PV. He also works on system integration issues, from grid integration questions to electricity markets. He is an electromechanical engineer by training with a large experience in the IT and financial sectors prior to joining the PV industry.
