Mr. Antonius R. (Teun) Burgers

Antonius (Teun) Burgers received a degree in Mathematics from Leiden University in 1984 and a doctorate in natural sciences from the University of Utrecht in 2005.

Since 1992 he has been working in the field of solar energy, both in silicon solar cell technology development, and modelling of solar cell physics. Technology development has included bifacial n-PERT and its industrial implementation as well as n-IBC.

Currently he is focusing on energy yield of (bifacial) PV systems, in its various application areas such as the infrastructure, vehicles, and the built environment, He is the main developer of TNO’s bigeye tool for PV energy yield.
