Mr. Lukas Wagner

Fraunhofer ISE, Freiburg, Germany

Lukas Wagner carries out research on novel solar energy technologies at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE) in Freiburg, Germany. He worked on his PhD at Fraunhofer ISE on a PhD scholarship of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU). He studied Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (B.Sc. 2013) and Optics and Photonics (M.Sc. 2015) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe, Germany. He worked on organic solar cells at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA, and developed highest efficiency III-V photovoltaic devices for optical power transmission at the Fraunhofer ISE. Before moving to Freiburg, he worked at the French National Research Center for Solar Energy (CEA-INES), developing flexible perovskite solar cells.
His research interests are characterization methods and device optimization for stable, printed perovskite solar technologies with lowest CO2 footprint.
