Mr. Xiang Chen

Chen Xiang is now studying at Hohai University, majoring in water conservancy machinery. His hometown is Huangshan, Anhui Province, China, a beautiful tourist city with rich natural and cultural landscapes. His school is located in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, a very modern city, and has beautiful tourist attractions. Furthermore, Changzhou has a large photovoltaic industrial park, which has an essential position in China and worldwide.
Chen Xiang’s research direction is the modeling and performance evaluation of the photovoltaic system. He is now committed to studying non-stationary random signals in photovoltaic systems in photovoltaic modeling and performance evaluation and has researched the application of digital twin technology in photovoltaic modeling. His tutor is Professor Ding Kun, dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in Changzhou Campus of Hohai University. Professor Ding’s research interests include modeling PV modules and PV systems, PV system integration and optimization, PV system performance evaluation, mechatronics technology, and intelligent equipment technology.
Chen Xiang has published papers and patents, published papers, and oral presentations at photovoltaic conferences in North America and Asia. He participated in a National Natural Science Foundation project and some other provincial and municipal projects during his study.
It is my honor to have the opportunity to give an oral presentation at the 38th EU PVSEC Conference and to communicate with outstanding scholars from all over the world. The theme of this report is the research on the digital twin model of a photovoltaic array. The digital twin model can synchronize with the actual state of the photovoltaic array, so it is helpful to the real-time state evaluation of the photovoltaic array. Based on this, the stability of photovoltaic array power generation can be ensured, which is beneficial to the grid connection of photovoltaic power generation. Dynamic adaptive updating of photovoltaic array model parameters is critical in the photovoltaic array digital twin model.
