Dr. Tune holds a B.Sc with Honours in Nanotechnology majoring in Physics from The Flinders University of South Australia and a PhD in Chemistry for his work on carbon nanotube-silicon solar cells. During his doctoral studies he worked as an undergraduate chemistry lecturer and manager of a electron microscopy facility. Following his PhD, he worked in a defense engineering company developing improvements to submarine battery systems, before taking a postdoctoral position at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology working primarily on a project to develop 1D/2D donor-acceptor photovoltaics using nanocarbons. Daniel joined ISC Konstanz in 2019, managing and contributing to various national and european-level projects on next generation silicon PV modules and technologies.
