Mr. Arvid van der Heide
imec, Genk, Belgium
I received a master's degree in Applied Physics in Groningen. My PV research started in 1997 at ECN in the Netherlands, where I worked on characterisation of mc-Si solar cells, and where I developed the Corescan instrument to scan the finger contact resistance. In 2005, I moved to the R&D department of Photovoltech in Belgium, where I worked on cell efficiency improvement and development of MWT cells and modules. In 2013, I started at Soltech, a small company making all kinds of special modules, and in 2016 I joined imec to start working on characterisation and development of special modules.
