jointly organised with the International Energy Agency Photovoltaic Power Systems Programme (IEA PVPS) – IEA PVPS Task 1
Distributed PV develops through novel self-consumption concepts such as collective and decentralized (virtual) self-consumption and peer-to-peer concepts. The emergence of energy communities offer possibilities to deal with such complex energy systems and favour PV developments.
Centralized PV applications are facing a new reality of becoming competitive with electricity market prices in many locations, and while merchant PV develops, corporate PPAs (which are already rather developed in the Wind industry) reach the PV field.
Green hydrogen is getting increased attention by the PV community as a near-future option to resolve intermittency of PV electricity in a utility scale as well as to deal with seasonal variations of renewable electricity.
This event intends to focus on these three aspects of PV development, with a focus on energy communities and novel distributed concepts, and merchant PV and corporate PPAs for centralized PV applications, as well as role of green hydrogen related with PV.
