Summary / Abstract: Recently full co-evaporated and full-laser interconnected perovskite PV modules with an efficiency of more than 18 % were manufactured at the KIT. We developed the laser system used in that work and supported the laser process development. In this presentation we show details of the development of the full modularized laser tool for glovebox as well as other application for photovoltaic for research institutes and startup companies. We will show 4 examples and results achieved with the systems: - 1) Multi-wavelength system for Glovebox. Here one can change laser sources and optics by himself. The first system is used for all laser processes for perovskite solar module fabrication in a single system. The laser processes were developed with the KIT using our multi-wavelength system integrated in glove box. The same system can also be used in battery production. And the process head can be integrated in industrial production systems. The system is using a high efficient debris extraction geometry and a „trough-the-lens“ vision system for very precise alignment of new structures to existing structures. - 2) Cost effective system that is predominantly used as a rental system for R&D and smallvolume production. Applications are selective ablation, cleaning, drying and ultra-thin-glass drilling of openings for wiring trough cover glasses. - 3) Laser module with tilted optics for non-perpendicular processing (preventing of re-deposition of debris for clean surfaces) and processing of foils in role-to-role production on a process drum to keep the position of the foil constant during processing in air and glove box (in vacuum on request) - 4) Ability of processing with multiple spots at the same time (3 different spots with different energy, focus, size and wavelength. That enables ultra-high precision and interconnection after all depositions)
