Summary / Abstract: In this study, our main motivation is to detect the factors adversely affecting the power output efficiency of the solar modules and the overall system performance of a photovoltaic power plant. For this purpose, we take into consideration the solar power plant in Karapınar-Konya region of Turkey being constructed by Kalyon Energy Corporation. The final total established power of this plant will be 1.3 GWp and currently the production capacity has already reached to 100 MWp. The output power of the each solar module utilized in this plant is 385 W and the total area of the plant will cover an area of 20 x 106 m2. Thus it is vital, from the production effciency point of view, to routinely keep checking and monitoring the operation condition of these photovoltaic modules [1-4].
