Summary / Abstract: Today, after capitalizing only a very few years’ research, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) achieved a record of 25.2 % power conversion efficiency in single cell and 29.1 % in tandem device architecture in association with c-Si, thus demonstrating the feasibility to give an impetus to p-n Si technology (1). However, before reaching the market, the need of water-resistant absorber is indispensable to ensure high stability, high reliability together with high security to avoid lead contamination outside the device. For that aspect, a precise understanding of the degradation paths in contact with water molecules is crucial to provide future outlooks on how to hamper such reactions.
